Northfield's own Electro-Noise Shoegazers Detective Ventriloquist, who haven't played a proper show since 2009 are taking their show on the road and will be inflicting a terrible case of "concert ear" at Shuga Records in Minneapolis, on Saturday, March 27th, 2010.
Opening up the evening's festivities will be hip-hoppers Transit Gal. Headlining will be Minneapolis' own post-rockers Paragraphs.
Here is something nice music blog More Cowbell said about Paragraphs: "one of the more promising young bands in the Twin Cities." Paragraphs have been building quite a buzz in the area, opening for prestigious acts like Atlas Sound and Wheat. They have also recently released their debut EP "You Can't Make A Ghost Without Its Sheet."
Here are some.....things that people have said about Detective Ventriloquist: "it's perfect with earplugs in," and "I appreciate you playing your music...but I don’t think it is a good fit." Det Vent has previously supported acts like Low-Gain and Tail Chaser. They released a free digital EP in October.
This show is a FREE SHOW and is open to ALL AGES. The fun should get started around 7:00 p.m. Please feel free to invite your friends, or just anyone you meet on the streets. I'm sure they'll have a good time.
