Mission Statement

Hello all,
I submit the following mission statement for scrutiny, derived primarily from off-site conversation:

"The Mission of the Northfield Music Collective:
To facilitate communication and interaction among Northfield
musicians, venues and the public in an effort to maximize the artistic,
promotional and financial benefit of all."

I invite and encourage all members herein to offer comments, criticism, and any revisions they see fit; absent any fervent ongoing debate, I think it would be reasonable to take as final whatever version emerges by January 1, 2010 and begin formally publicizing the Collective with local publications such as Northfield.org, LocallyGrownNorthfield.org, and others so as to further our continuing growth.

That being said, please continue to share the Northfield Music Collective with all relevant parties, and invite them to join the site; decidedly slick invitations can be easily sent here. At any rate, word of mouth proves to be the best means for publicity at this stage, and the more patrons of Northfield music we can get in at the ground floor, the more easily we can achieve a wider membership come increased publicity.
