Music Upload Restored

Dearest Members of the Northfield Music Collective,

After a period of relative inactivity, we are proud to announce that the NMC is poised to resume actively reporting, supporting, and influencing the goings-on of the Northfield music scene.

The first of these coming actions is the restoration of local music uploads to the NMC site. Once logged in, you can now access the "Upload Music" tab at the top the site from where you can upload music to be added…

Dearest members of the Northfield Music Collective,

The providers of our online social network, likely fueled by greed, have demanded more money from us while simultaneously robbing us of our music sharing capabilities. While we are happy to have increased our monthly payment, we acknowledge the loss of a communal music player to be immensely problematic, and are looking into alternative options.

"Six Days to London" Now Streaming At Northfield Music Collective

Hey there fans, critics, and do-gooders. We just wanted to let y'all know that we've placed our 2009 album "Six Days to London" up on the Interwebs for all the world to hear, free and 24/7. Originally we sold around 30 physical copies, and it is currently in the CD library at Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa. The Northfield Music Collective — northfieldcollective.com — launched last year as a vehicle for those in and out of Northfield to better appreciate the music scene in town.

Slide-guitarist Jeff Ray to perform in Northfield to promote new CD release

St. Paul based songwriter and slide-guitarist Jeff Ray will be performing in Northfield on Friday Oct. 9 at the Tavern Lounge to support the release of his fourth CD, 'Blue Mara', a hard-driving acoustic roots and blues CD that has already received critical acclaim from the Minnesota music community.
